REHAB is a Dutch shoe brand with a dedicated team that designs stylish men's shoes that are just a little bit different, super comfortable and made of top quality.
We combine traditional craftsmanship with the latest techniques and the finest materials. This creates a contemporary look – for men who consciously choose high quality, comfort, and a polished style.
REHAB was founded in 2008 by Jaco Flach. What began as his dream and creative idea has grown into a dedicated team that works passionately every day to create shoes that complete your style.

Our shoes are made with care – from the very first design to the last detail. We believe that shoes shouldn't just look good, but also be incredibly comfortable and durable. We pay close attention to fit, comfort, and sustainable materials.
how we make shoes
Our shoes are made with care – from the very first design to the last detail. We believe that shoes shouldn't just look good, but also be incredibly comfortable and durable. We pay close attention to fit, comfort, and sustainable materials.
The foundation is always the sole. It defines the shoe's identity and comfort. That's why we work with the best sole manufacturers in Portugal and Italy. This allows us to always use the latest technologies: such as lightweight soles, leather details, and always ultimate comfort.
leather and suede
We select the leather and suede we use based on color, appearance, quality, durability, and suppleness. The suppleness of the material ensures maximum freedom of movement and comfort.
We don't use fur, hides from exotic animals (such as crocodile or python), or materials from endangered species. The leather our tanneries use comes from animals raised for the food industry—a byproduct from which we reuse the hide.
Handmade
For our leather, we work exclusively with LWG-certified tanneries. The Leather Working Group (LWG) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to creating a world where leather is sourced, produced, and used sustainably, while protecting people and the environment. There are three levels of certification for tanneries: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
At REHAB, we work exclusively with Silver and Gold-rated tanneries from Italy and Portugal. This guarantees the best production methods using the latest techniques in the most responsible way.
family studios in Portugal
We work with three workshops in Portugal to produce our handmade shoes. These are all family businesses with whom we've been collaborating for at least 10 years. By producing in Portugal, we automatically comply with EU guidelines for people and the environment. Our workshops also comply with the guidelines set by the BSCI.
Another important advantage of producing handmade shoes in Portugal is that we support local factories within Europe and significantly reduce transport distances – and thus pollution – compared to production in, for example, Asia.
BSCI
BSCI is an independent organization that helps companies take social responsibility and improve working conditions in their supply chains. BSCI stands for Business Social Compliance Initiative. Its goal is to improve working conditions.
Improve, including the right to form a union, safe working conditions, and the prevention of forced and child labor. Member companies are audited annually and receive a report with recommendations that they must implement in their business operations.
